every company has their niche market. hifonics has successfully captured the average ignorant teenage boy.

are those SA's? how do they sound on that little AQ? Go for an AQ 3500, you'll love its power, and for its size it doesn't draw that much power :)

yes they are, they get loud bro, with my prefab box i did a 142.3db and this box is a little louder but gets a shit tone lower.

i will be upgrading the amp around spring or summer.

nice job man, I had a high spl setup in my 01 grand am and it shattered the shit out of that spoiler on the trunk, I highly recommend taking the spoiler off and pitting some dynamat in between the spoiler and the trunk lid. Something to keep the two from touching eachother.

^ that's a good idea!!

Thank you very much:)

The spl somehow managed to eventually break the gears in the sunroof also, thats a $1200 fix, on really long low bass tones it was forcing it open about 1/2 inch and holding it open, not much you can do about that either, another tip, your passenger and drivers side window, there is a plastic clip that breaks very easily on the regulator, causing you to have to replace the whole entire assembly, even though everything else is fine, the piece is seriously like 1 inch by a half inch that holds one side of the window on, about $180 to fix, either have your windows all the way up, or all the way down, if you roll with them half way up, they will flap so bad it snaps that clip, its the stupidest thing i've ever dealt with. I had to have them replaced about 3 times per year. It causes you window to just fall into the door when it breaks.

Just giving you some heads ups, I had hi db systems in mine for about 5 years and blasted that shit religiously, lol

Damn lol well thanks for all this info!!!

Did your grand am ever leak in the trunk? Seems to be a common prob

Yes, never hit the equipment though, It helped to not blast it in puring rain, or immediately after or during car washes because the water gets sucked in
