The above is now changed to 16" H. The sub barely fits and is not too good having the box walls so near of the driver but if you really need it that way then ok.

If it sounds bad I will have to figure out a way to fit it through the opening. Maybe a design with the face and front of port slanted backwards to allure more surface to mount.

Can the program you are using do wedge shaped enclosures? The only reason I need it at 16, do I can fit it to the back of the seat. Not really but Torres can, also on a slanted baffle is hard to do a slot port and predict tuning accurately unless the port is not on the baffle but firing to the side for example. It is not really a requirement that the baffle fit the opening exactly, is more important that the port have breathing room in front of it, in fact in many cases moving the enclosure towards the back improves performance and most of the times firing backwards boosts performance in not sealing off.

Firing sub and port to opposite sides can easily produce bad results and is infrequently used for daily setups, is mainly used for burp boxes. If you can fit the 16H box above regardless of the size of the opening, that's what I would do and try it firing both forward and backwards to see what works best in your case.
