It's an AGM and that's what I need, a cheap AGM starting battery with side-posts. Carbon Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 I was at battery warehouse to get some terminals crimped and the guy was showing these to be. He mentioned he just started carrying them and they are comparable to the optima agm lineup..

From what i was told they use the same spiral cell technology as the optima batteries. Interstate won the patent rights in N.A. and Exide won them in the U.K. and Australia. Please do some testing and let me know how those fare I really need a good G34 starting battery but XS is out of the question with all the wiring and terminals I need. I'm gonna hate

Also if you looking for a dual perpose battery from exide. (Start and deep cycle) Id go with the Exide XCD. My electrical is to consist of this Orbital, a DC Power 270XP, lots of low resistance wiring with 4 runs to the back and 2 or 3 92ah C&D batts. I will be pulling this setup down with a 3500.
