Joe X Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 yes joe. so i have somthing wrong in my specs? tx again No, just don't give much more than 300W to it, anyways Pioneer subs are not as tolerant to abuse as Sundowns for example, also and this is important engage the subsonic filter of the amp to about 30Hz if your amp has it, that will help avoid damage to the sub.
vw passat Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 i need to go lower with my net volume? like 1.50ft^3?
vw passat Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 ok joe i will make it but i dont want to make it lower the net volume?
vw passat Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 and what is the different between the port area per foot 12in^2 or 13in^2 or 14in^2 or 15in^2 or 16in^2?
Joe X Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 As long as you stay within 350W you don't need to downsize the net volume to avoid the sub bottoming out BUT you should set your subsonic filter on, port area controls the maximum airspeed on the port if the area is way short it will result in port noise. I think the 23 square inches you have there are ok.
vw passat Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 ok joe so tx for your great help mate
