My question is do I have to get the same battery for them to charge/work right? ChevyBoy95 Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 You want something with the same technology, AGMs with AGMs, wet cell and AGM do not mix. Matching companies is good because they generally rest at different voltages or discharge differently which can weaken stronger batteries when a weaker one is in the system. You can connect the back battery to the front battery or alt, it will work fine either way, I don't thing you are worried about squeeZing a few extra watts out so I would just connect it to the front battery. Noobie question but to wire it up right you run the pos form front battery to the one in the back, and neg from frnt to neg to back? Right? Ratski Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 so if i keep my reg wet cell battery in the front and run the 0 gauge to the rear battery straight off of the alternator that should be good? i ordered a second battery as well so i will havde two rear dekkas and one front wet cell. or would it be better to wire one dekka in the front as a main battery and then just keep the other dekka in the rear and wire them together?
