Swordlordboy1234 Posted March 7, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 7, 2013 So recently this week, my transmission went on me. This wouldn't be a problem if I was in Florida at my dads shop. Easy fix... 400-600$ in parts, his labor is free if I help.. No issues. But over here in Texas I'm stranded dead in the water. Right now I'm going to Texas state university, and how I got all this car and audio stuff is working a job in Florida. But I need my car to get back to Florida so I can't work that job if my car isn't fixed. I asked around to all my family and my mom is willing to give me her tax money and my dad has told me he might be able to give me a grand if he saves for a few months, but that puts me around $ 1400. And ive only got a couple hundred to add. So I might have to sell my 2500.1 and ZVX 12's for the extra money to get my transmission fixed. I had hope before it came to that I could ask my friends on Facebook but they pretty much ignored me, so I know who my friends are. When people needed help on my Facebook, YouTube or had a horrible incident like mrs DeRoncey I always sent them $10 for the cause. I'm at a stopping point where I have no choice but to see if SMD can help. I need to get a few hundred more dollars to get the 2 grand I need to fix my transmission and get back to florid this summer. I'm willing to sell system if it comes down to it, but I figured I would see if a few hundred people would send me $1 to help. I know you guys owe me nothing this was just my last chance of getting this fixed before I have to sell my bass or take out a loan. I've seen SMD pull together for that one little girl with special needs who liked bass, and I know I'm not anything like her but I didn't know where else to turn when my own family (besides mom and dad) gave me the cold shoulder. Thanks for reading guys. Also IF I can get back to Florida and work my old job for another couple months I will be able to pay back those who I owe and maybe have some updates with audio stuff (hopefully) OR if anyone knows a place around Austin or San Marcos Texas that might be able to help me. The only quotes I've gotten we're above $2,000 and I just can't afford that until I get back to Florida. Thanks guys. I known it's a bit risky, but hell if they have a return policy, utilize it. I think the yards here a tranny costs around $200 bucks maybe a little more. The only thing I have with me is a socket set and a wrench set with a couple electrical and general tools with me as I wanted to be ready for most repairs.... A tranny isn't most repairs. I don't have a tranny jack, a lift, a floor jack to substitute the lift or my dad to help me. I need to be in Florida for that. So I either need to fix it here using a tranny shop or get it transported to Florida and fly back to fix it. I'm open for more suggestions though. I had a car warp the heads but I'm lucky enough to have a mechanic as an uncle that helped me out, but it was still pricey. I've been in debt to my father a couple times due to car issues, it's no fun at all.
