Passive Crossover Question

My friend just asked me what the difference was between the different options you get with your crossover the 0db, -3db and +3db and i seriously did not have a answer for him hahaha i was like umm idk just plug it into the 0db one hahaha can anyone explain the difference please, thanks!

The different level (volume) at which the tweeter can be played at relative to the mid, reason for this is because at nominal level it can either sound harsh or dull, depending on the listener (everyone is different and have preferences), hence, the have the option to either increase or decrease.

+3 db Higher

0 db nominal

-3 db lower
