bumassjeff
Ok well im getting 2 HC800's and both will be stashed underneath my hood since they will be so close together should i still put a fuse between them? One 800 will be used as a starter battery and the other will be my back up for the system.
Jcoleman134
i didn't on mine. i dont see how it would hurt putting a fuse on though. but i think you would be fine without one. but hey safety first right?

dmanson
well i'd have to say go for what you know. you know to put a fuse after the 1st battery and before the 2nd ....... so take it from there. how far away from the 1st battery are you talking? 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative. kbreudi
i have two hc800 and they are bck to back, so a 4 " peace of 1/0 wire is all i used to connect the terminals tomgeather. hell i couldnt even fit a fuse with in 4". You will be plnty fine with out a fuse BETWEEN the batterys, as long as they are back to back. dmanson
if it's withing 12 inches i wouldn't worry about a fuse then. 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.
