customartt Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 I have 2 Rockford Fosgate 2500bd amps, and my question is. Is it better to ground my amps to the frame or run a ground wire to the front batteries? I have 4 batteries under my hood. thank you
purplesyrup Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 I've heard either way, so far I got great results from running several extra grounds off the battery, i've always bee tolf when grounding, be sure to dump it as quick as possible, so shorter ground wires to the frame, I have heard its supposed to be more efficient, but I have seen others say otherwise
will77530 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 the surface area of the frame makes up for its lack of continuity and actually makes for a better path for the electricity to follow it has been proven by tony d amore and snafu unless you're doing multiple runs of 1/0 ofc
customartt Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 im doin 2 runs of 0 gauge one for each amp. I just want the best for the amp
will77530 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 frame, you wont notice a difference either way but frame will be cheaper
customartt Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 im not worried about price . so it would be good to maybe do couple drops from the front batteries to the frame.
