For those of you that don't already know, Nic Hobart was my stepson. He passed away on January 4th, 2008. This is his car & I'm installing the gear he wanted in his car even though he is gone. Everyone grieves the loss of a loved one in thier own way. Well this build is my theropy. When i read this, I had to get up and walk away to keep from tears man. This hit close to home. There was a period when i thought I was going to die, and I hoped the person that started my build and my family would finish my car, show it off a little, then sell it for my kids. He's up there, lookin down at you, smiling at the great job you are going. My heart goes out to you. May he RIP. Krypto IB3 22"
jsmoke222000 Posted May 10, 2008 Author Report Posted May 10, 2008 Well truthfully he is probably laughing his ass off because he actually wanted black rims but I kept telling him that white on white would look better. I guess I got my way on that. Working on his car has really been good for me & my wife. It's always nice to see a project come together but this one was really special. I've still got a few things to do on the car but it is really looking good. Thanks for all the well wishes & compliments. I know it's not the flashiest system, but it is what he wanted. He was a clean & simple type of kid & this is exactly what he would have wanted ti to look like. Maybe Nics car will win System Of The Month one day! Jared Nixon A.K.A.
