Owen Hix Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 As of right now I have an optima d34/78 yellow top as the main battery for my 05 Colorado. I have read a bunch of stuff that says when adding a battery that it should be the same or close in size. However, my question is would it be ok if I run an xs battery with the optima or do i just get another yellow top? If it is ok to run the xs, any recommendations on which xs battery I should go with? My system is going to be around 2000w when done also. ccmotox99 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 if you run all 1/0 gauge, the big three and an XS 3400 up front you'll be fine with 2000 watts. Shouldn't see much voltage drop. I haven't done the big three yet, and my voltage only drops to like 12.6-13.0 on my 3400 -playing with different setups
