loki
I noticed you dont use any bracings like dowel rods in your boxes....why is that? idk if you noticed but his boxes have alot a MDF! has 3 layers on the faces and usually 2 to 3 layers on the inner wall of the port. 45 degrees on the corners and resin on the bends. the inner port wall and 45 degrees are strong enough to brace it with a good amount glue and screws/staples. over all his boxes are strong. 05 Ford F150 Single Cab Audio: -Pioneer DEH-3200DVD -Hertz Hi-energy 5x7 Front -RE Audio 5x7 Rear -DD 2512 in Custom 40 Hz Box -Eclipse EA4100 High/Mid amp -Eclipes XA1000 Sub amp -Audison Connnection RCAs -Random wire:Kicker,RF,Lightning Audio
Thumpper
I engineer my enclosures with ribbing and corner bracing so there is no restrictions on airflow and also to make shure the woofer can "CUP" the largest percentage of inner volume.... make a pair of 10" sound like a pair of 12"...OOPS!!!!////LOL My Install
Chaise
I see this thread is nearly 3 years old. Are you still building and shipping boxes? If you are, what would you charge for a dual 12"? I like the oldschool one.. Current System: Stock 2011 Tahoe Loud as F**K Just kidding
langsdon2
here is some buld pics for an enclosure for a RF T212D4...built to RF's Powerfull Enclosure specks (2.25cf3 plus sub, port, corner displacement) and tuned at 32hz I hate MDF dust...had a lung infection from the stuff last spring so I don't take any chances anymore one of the little tweeks I have been working on.... it will all make sense in the end no 90* edges..all 45* and will be sanded perfectly smooth Why is the box have 2 45's on the corners? Ive seen quite a few boxes like that. is it for added support? Bang em if you got em
