Moley Posted March 5, 2013 Author Report Posted March 5, 2013 The wet cell is still good and you think it will hurt the kinetik to just try it for a 5 minute drive just to see. no probly not. but buying another battery is really only gonna help. maybe buy a big boy batt for the back. thatll be night and day difference.. but youll almost nevr get rid of dimming lights unless your voltage doesnt drop below 13.5 ish I've always wondered about that so I searched and found this thread. Makes sense to me. So how can I keep above 13.5 if a battery only puts out about 13 max. Seems to me that more batteries might help a bit but like you said will never solve the problem completely. Jzzt Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 I would do the dome lights (if any) + bulb in the headlight housing thats inside the ambar reflector + tail lights, you could also change the lights in the trunk etc. I dont know if the genesis has lights on the doors but some card do. You get the idea.

In my case I have blown this theory out of the water! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/39871-why-more-batteries-wont-stop-your-lights-dimming/ I hooked up my stock wet cell near the amp in parallel and went for a drive. Cranked her up and guess what. Zero dimming! My voltage meter does still dip but not as bad as before but the dimming is complete eliminated! I'm going to go ahead and purchase another Kinetik 1200. I'm sure it worked because one battery is so close to the amp. Really whatever the case and physics aside it works and that's all I care about. I'm happier than a pig in shit! PS: Placebo effect or not I think it hit louder.
