I was tinkerin with my stuff today. Put my old box back in,Didnt like the sound. Put it inside the car, Lots of air not really loud. So took it all out, put 1 sub in my slot ported 4 cubes tuned to 34hz. Took a peice of 3/4 MDF sealed the other sub opening up. Put everuthing back in and my 1 sub is just as loud, if not alittle louder then both subs. What gives?

2 T1 12's

T10001bd @ 1ohm

In the trunk firing backwards.

Do I need to build a bigger box? RF recommends 2.5 per sub, So Im .5 off each sub.

heres a link to the box specs

I would assume a few different variables.

1)Port location on box, compared to the subwoofer location

2) Larger box, more aire space/more excursion slightly louder

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

then thats the only reason its louder... and maybe the way you wired the 1 sub, compared to the 2- subs
