fullthrottlejunkie85 Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 my system is in 97 blazer 4dr with kicker ds 4" on dash and pioneer 6.5 1644r 40w nominal in doors front/rear but ive got 800rms on 2-12"s so its drowning out my highs badly so im wondering if i should leave the kicker ds on dash wired too cdplayer and the rear pioneer 6.5 also and wire my 6.5 pioneers up front too jvc 5700 and a pair of jlaudio vr tweeters 50rms each too amplifier also and have tweets on door panels? im just trying too get more highs and better sound until i get a nice set components and 4channel... bcbrassard Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 If your amps 2 ohm stable and your speakers are 4 ohm then you could wire them in parrell to use what you have. But Your HU power isnt really enough to drive the apeakers to make them loud. You need a 4 ch amp, maybe a linedriver for multiple amps or an external crossover. Something to give you more Channels to run more amp. Or split the RCAs you have but then you cut your volts in half. My son has a 94 Tahoe and we kinda did all the above to run 16 speakers total.
