beaker
When you're specing out the box, allow me some room in the middle to use 2x4's to re-inforce the center. This thing is going to be silly even on 250 watts. (Its pretty damn loud now on that same wattage in 14.5 cubes @ 20hz) I can only imagine if I had an fi 15 on 2k in there. I dont think I'd have a house left. I'm hoping this will hit down to about 12 hz.
beaker
With the 21ft port you could have 1fold in it and easily fit in the 14ft you have. Thats what the goal of this box is correct? to be a frame for you seating? You have 12ft x 7ft x 16" to work with and its the 15" Boston g2 subwoofer correct? 21.63Ft long is for port length. Do you have the SD of the woofer in square inches? I can find that if you don't. Port and woofer have to only be on right side? or could they face back? Back would be easier because it would be easier to mount the woofer without affecting the SD of the port. Ill try tonight and play with sketchup..see what I can come up with to meet the requirments. Could you do the top of the enclosure a single layer...then do a second layer that is also your suppor tfor your seating.. Ill take a stab at building the entire platform..box included. 14ftx7ftx18" Back will be up against the wall.
revoracing247
should i use the parallel specs or the series? revoracing247
alright messing around with some of the stuff this is what i've come up with so far. the lighter line is a folded horn and the darker one is just a normal t-line any preference? beaker
what does the folded horn look like?
beaker
And I thought the Tline was supposed to be less peakey with a half wave.
revoracing247
those are both quarter wave. and i just used the specs from the data sheet on the sub that isn't parallel or series. and jas i'll try a half wave t-line and see what it graphs I think you have a bit of truck stuck in your mud bro ~Ford Ranger, ext cabKenwood DDX4701/0ga stinger wiring for big 31/0ga ofc flextech wiring 3 kinetik 800's AQ2200 @1ohm Sundown Audio X15 in a 27Hz tuned ported box LE BUILD LOG!!! revoracing247
alright so here's just a normal 1/4 t-line (darker line) along with a 1/2 wave t-line. another thing to note is that all these are calculated in 8th place = corner. sooo i think this means it's calculating as if the box was in the corner of a room. but nor exactly sure to be honest. i can try messing around with front or rear loaded designs if you wanted. it might smooth out the curve some. but all horns and t-lines have mutiple peaks. and when you asked what the horn looked like. did you mean like in a sketchup? or like on the graph?
