Smokey619 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 i want to know how you guys make a proper test bench. i just want to test out a head unit i know that red and yellow go together and black is ground. i just want to connect the head unit to a car battery or a jumper box for short testing. do i need to add an inline fuse or is it not required? i got an pioneer avh-x1500dvd i just want to know what is the safest route so nothing breaks and this is the best place to ask.
boom50cal Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Fusing it is a good idea. You could use a PC powersupply too. On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole.
Smokey619 Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 cool, which one could should i connect it to? the red or yellow or both? and should it be a 10amp fuse ?
boom50cal Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 The main 12v line. Fuse it to whatever that h/u has specified in the owners manual. On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole.
