Hmm, you could still get some Focals or RF P1's

I'll check it.

bud i have a set of alpne type s components 6.5 up front and 5.25 in the rear. they do well and i got them for around 130 from our good ol boys at sonicelectronix and they do great. they are also powered by an alpine amp which feeds them 110rms each

New setup 8-9-13

headunit: kenwood excelon kdc x497

mids/highs: alpine type s 6.5 comps front/5.25 coax rear

substage: 2 PSI pf1 high performace upgraded 15's

mids/high amp: alpine mrx-f65

substage amp: DC audio 2k

optima (for the time) red top in back

skyhigh 0ga wires (minus sub amp, which is some borrowed 0ga, lol)

build log soon

I did find some used Diamond audio 6.5 components for $100 and some mypre midbass 6.5 and tweet for $125. I am really digging those suggestions from CJ

Fun car. Love mine. I am not a 'engine/speed' guy but I do with I had the turbo, but since it's not a huge deal for me it doesn't bother me that much.

The only reason I'm pushing for the Crescendo's is bc I bought a set of Rainbow components for $350 and I'll admit, they sound awesome! But, i bought a single PWX 6.5 to play with and I have to say, I would've much rather spent $100-$200 and had twice the power and just as much clarity, over spending $350 on my front stage.

Edit: Plus the Crescendo's can take more abuse than average component sets can IMO.

Ya. For my budget I would have 4 midbass and two tweets. Worse case I could do a component set in front and those midbass crecendos in the back.

What's the pro/con for going component vs a midbass and tweet in the front? is it the same? I know.. retarded noob question.
