2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Build. Skar ZVX 15's

So today I finally got everything to start installing my new system. I am using these brands in my WJ, JL Audio, Skar Audio, Hertz, and AudioTechnix, Ram-Designs Box design, SMD DD-1 & CC-1, Singer Alternators, Pioneer. Unfortunately when I got my order of AudioTechnix I noticed that some things that I have ordered were not there, Kinda set me back, But its all good I just need to find at my local car audio stores 3 ANL Style Fuse Holders with the 1/0 Gauge in/out. Enough about that, Time for a run down of whats going in.

• Hertz Energy comps 6.5's (front doors, Need to make speaker mounts for front doors stock are 6x9's)
• Unnamed 6.5's Coaxel rear doors
• JL Audio 360.4 (Mids / Highs Amp)
• 3 Sets of Tweeters (Front Dash, Rear passenger pillar, Rear Cargo Pillar)
• x2 Skar Audio ZVX 15's (Dual 2 ohm)
• x2 Skar Audio 1500.1D's (1 amp going to each sub at 1 ohm)
• AudioTechnix Wiring &Y Accessories
• x2 Deka Imtimidators 9A34M
• Ram-Designs Box Design
• Singer Alternator 250A
• Pioneer Deh-80PRS

That's it for today, Tomorrow I am running the wire through out the WJ and maybe hook the subs up to see how they sound before I fine tune everything, I am going to take advantage of the time alignment on my Pioneer.

Pretty much finished up the build. Some new stuff to talk about. My original plan was to go with an all Hertz speaker setup, But now that's not happening now because my local car audio store sold me already used and blown set of Hertz Coax's 6.5s for the rear. The Hertz 6.5 set for the front were in brand new perfect condition. So I got the rear hertz speaker coax replaced with Kenwood Excelon 6.5's for the rear doors.

Got the rear batteries mounted and wired up.

Got the front Hertz Tweeters wired up and mounted.

Here is a picture of the Hertz 6.5 Components. Had to make a 6x9 plate to fit the 6.5's up in front.

Ran the power wire 1/0 awg through the firewall.

Inside picture of running the wire through the firewall, Grommets were used and was sealed with GOOP.

Ran 3 runs of power wire to the rear down the center of the Jeep.

Doors stripped for the instillation of the new speakers.

Front carpet was removed to run wires.

Bare floor to run RCA's and wires.

Last thing to do is put the rear tweeters in the rear panels, mount the sub box and put all the remaining trim on, with the bottom part of the rear seats.

Thank you! I don't know if I should do a video I suck at making videos, Plus I absolutely hate the sound of my own voice, I don't think anyone I know has a video camera that can pick up the bass coming from the subs accurately. The Mids and Highs are crystal clear, But I don't know if the microphone on the my phone can or camera on my Droid 4 can keep up with my system or make it sound good. My phone supposedly records in 1080 HD or 720 HD not sure. All I know is that its one of them.

Finished the build awhile ago but I forgot to update and add pictures. Well, there's only a few things left to do with this build and its put all the trim panels back in and add the rear tweeters to the rear panel and then its all set to go!

Amps wired up, a JL Audio 360.4 and 2 Skar Audio 1500.1D's both at 1 ohm going to each subwoofer.

Well for now the build is done. Just finished adding the rear tweeters yesterday to the rear pillars of my Jeep sounds more full than anything now. I don't know if I will make a video yet but tomorrow pictures of my finished build will be up.

Going to upgrade to my Jeep soon in the far future to an entire Skar Audio Jeep. Here's whats coming.
