conkay Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Im building a box for a sa8v2. My final specs will be .6 tuned to 35hz. Heres the question. With aero ports I'm kinda limited to port area. For this enclosure size I can either run a 3in port with a 7sq" of port area or 4in with 12in. Any input?
Joe X Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Build a slot ported instead, here is a box from a previous request that basically meets your spec: Enclosure Specifications:Fb = 35 HzVb = 0.64 ft^3External Height = 10 inExternal Width = 19.5 inExternal Depth = 14 inPort Width = 1 3/8 inCut Sheet List:* All Dimensions in Inches.* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.External Enclosure Parts:2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 19 1/2 x 10Left & Right Sides = 11 3/4 x 8 1/2Top & Bottom = 19 1/2 x 11 3/4L Port Internal Assembly Parts:Front to Back = 10 3/8 x 8 1/2Extension = 14 1/2 x 8 1/2Extension 2 = 6 3/8 x 8 1/2 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): An aero port based SA-8v2 box meeting your spec would likely require running a partially external port to work so not neat at all.
