Kade Posted May 4, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 4, 2013 Found that damn actuator. Come to find out this one is making BOTH wood pecker noises in the video! New one should be coming in Wednesday. The one I'm referring to is the one to the right side. Mode door actuator. Dealership called and they got my parts in. Not exactly what I expected. It's the Buick glass and trim, but oh well. It looks pretty cool. Dash Disassembled Pioneer FH-P8000BT Everything looks good as far as I can see...but then it hit me. My accessory wire was going to nothing. I'm not sure whether to used the pink ignition wire or the brown ??? wire under the steering column for my 12V. Thoughts? That's all the work I've done that I've taken pics of so far. Maybe tomorrow I can get the radio turned on Still have the speakers to install and the leaks to be checked. Then this baby is out of my hands. Will after market speakers fit the factory mounts on the trailblazer? The pink wire is a 12V reference signal for the ECM. You can find speakers to fit the factory mounts no problem. I had some pioneers in mine for awhile before the big upgrade. Just want this to be decent sounding off the deck for whoever buys this car. Here's some pics of the things I've got in the mail and done today. As I was taking pics, retard neighbor got drunk and took his motorcycle for a ride. Wrecked about 50yds from his house. Had to sign statements and stuff. No biggie. He's ok though. Didn't get as many pics as I wanted in. Everything in the pics were installed if I don't post installation pics. New actuator! Stripped the insulation back and wrapped my wire to be ran as ACC to my radio. This is the brown wire under the steering column. Shitty solder job. Tapped it so you wouldn't see Because 2 butts are better than one? Just saying, I had to repin the WHOLE FREAKIN' FEMALE SIDE of the harness so they all match up with the aftermarket harness. P...I...T...A! Little factory integration...Not amping the doors. So, no more A/C clicking sounds and my radio works thanks to bestbuy for printing me their mastersheet for this car. The repin was correct also. What's left? The will sound fine. I don't have the comps yet. Just rear coax ordered. I decided to go with the RF Prime series. Cheap, good reviews and with the low RMS rating, they should sound good off the deck. Now, the only reason I wanted RF prime across all the doors is because that particular series has a 1/2in. tweeter on the component set. Thinking of the factory tweeter mounts...I should be able to install a 1/2" tweeter in that location with minimal (if any) mods. I just wanted to stay as true to factory as I could.
