subwoofers that excel on lows

hi, I'm looking for a 15" subwoofer that performs extremely well on the low notes (within the budget of $200-$400). The enclosure is 4.7 cubes net, tuned to 30hz with 68 sq in of port area. will be off of about 2000 watts. I'm assuming I should look at subs with a low fs? but I know there are other factors that effect how well the subwoofer will handle to low end? Could you guys give me some suggestions?

btw I know "low" is a very general statement so to clarify, I'm talking about mostly decaf music, and the 25-35hz frequency range

thanks in advance

I've heard a lot of good things abut the fi Q. but this comes back to me not knowing which t/s parameters to look at for how well a sub will perform on low notes. for example the ssa icon has a fs of 26 vs the fs of 32 for the fi Q. Does this mean the icon should play the frequencies in the 20's better?

Vas, Bl, and xmax are other specs to look at for demolishing lows. It's all about DISPLACING air. You need a sub that can move air, and a box that works WITH the sub, not against it. Power handling, and airspace requirements need to be considered before buying a sub. You can't expect it to perform at its best in a predetermined environment or one that wasn't built with that sub in mind. In other words, expecting it to work in the enclosure you already have for another sub, is seeing it up for failure.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

The Fs of my Fosgate Power 15" subs is like 26 Hz. They don't have incredible motor force or xmax(yet hehe...PSI will fix that) and they may not get as loud as a sub that has more motor force and more throw with a higher Fs compared to them.

Get the Fi Q, you won't be disappointed with that kind of power going to it, in the right box built and tuned properly. By the way, you don't HAVE to tune stupid low to get the sub to perform WELL low. The sub(especially a 15") has some good cone area and its going to reproduce the frequencies you want. You tune too low and you start to fall flat higher up, where 95% of the rest of the NON-DECAF world is.

so going off these t/s parameters, the sundown x-15 seems to be a good candidate? I noticed it has 422g of moving mass. that's a lot more than the other woofers i'm looking at
