nascarguy301 Posted April 4, 2013 Author Report Posted April 4, 2013 Im buying two SQ HDC3 12's D4. Im trying to figure out what box i should build for it. It will be run off a Hifonics BRX 2000.1D. My dimensions are W-32 H-13.5 D-28. Going in an 02' Monte Carlo. I want the box to "come to life" below 34Hz and play down to 26 hz with ease. I like a good range, but wil give up most of the high end for my lows. Thanks Why don't you get subs that are just made for the lows. What else is there thats in the same price range? Bose = Buy other sound equipment. i love the rattle it's the best part! i need louder cheap amp any ideas?
Dd9515 king Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 The subs will play that low easy. You just have to tune ur box for it. I have heard a sq hdc 2.0 8in hit 28 hz good. It has an fs of like 50 something.

What else is there thats in the same price range? those subs will get down just fine. id say they get pretty low easily. 9-10 sq per cu be is way to small for any sub with a slot port. 14-16 per cube give them 2-3 cubes each after all displacement. tune to 34-35 hz. that will get down and dirty. high end may be slightly sacrificed. and if you want to get low you need port area to move the air. but it must be in good ratio.
