big dee Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 That is not mdf so that's one reason it's flexing so easy plus no bracing. I've seen a few other members using that thinking its mdf. If you can see lil bits of wood then that's partical board not mdf
CJSmith Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 Cuz i read that is a big no no to take the head units out of caddys unless u know exactly what ur doi and since i dont know i just desided to run bolth plus the stock head unit is really good in caddys anyway so why fuck with some thing that already works great u know it jus seemed easer to run a second one then tearinflg appart the whole dash to replace the old one plus i dont have the money right now to buy the nessesary conversion s you need to replace the deck I had the same headunit in my 2001 Escalade. It's just as simple as can be. Edit: Yours might be different though, but I'm pretty sure it's the same. Mine had the Bose system too. *Rebuid in progress*
