I have never used 8 gauge for my speaker wire but I hear that's the way to do it I have a fi btl n2 d2 and I was just wondering how you would fit 8 gauge and wire the sub to 1 ohm ? I don't think I can fit the 8 gauge in the voice coil terminal I usually put one end of the wire A n one positive term A and twist the other end of wire A with wire B place twisted set in pos term B then wire B to pos on amp vice versa for the neg terms. how would fit 2 sets of 8 gauge in one pos or neg terminal ? that may be the dumbest question ever but I cant think of another way to do it

just strip the ends to make them fit

ya that's what im talking about .. just strip them down until I can squeeze them in ? I never tried so I wasn't sure if they would fit

Just strip the wire, and twist them together until they fit, as stated above. You also asked how to wire it to 1 ohm, here is a picture to help you with that.

thanks guys I knew how to wire it to ohm however for some reason my brain thought that if I stripped them down to much to fit them in it could cause problems

yeah you can solder them together it if you'd like then grind them down to size

well the way I did it was I used a seperate wire for each terminal on the sub so I have 4 positives and 4 negatives so I split each sub into a pair of bolts so I have (++)(--) into one pair of bolts and (++)(--) in another pair of bolts. I did it this because 8 gauge audio technix barely fits so I couldn't imagine trying to stuff another cable into it . I think stripping it until it fits defeats the purpose of using 8 gauge
