okay so ive been working on this for a bit now had to get used to using sketch up again... this is what shell look like naked...

welp thats it.. going to add a couple dowel rods but didnt feel like drawing them in. going to start the build when the wood gets in, ordered it yesterday

got the car completely apart today trying to figure out where i want/ can run wires.. trying to stay away from running them underneath but thats plan b. its going to be raining all day here tomorrow so short work day long working on car day. wood is ready to be picked up but am going to try and stay away from getting it if its storming bad. also i dont have a table saw at my shop so idk if ill be able to borrow my uncles without any notice... he doesnt like it when i cut in his garage... got a few more things in today i need for the build. waiting on one more part and ill have everything and itll just be down to me building the box and installing it... YUS. well see what tomorrow brings...

got the car all wired up today, and picked up the wood. going to finish reassembling it tomorrow after work. then box build saturday. depending on when that happens i may or not have pics/ vids saturday night... most likely not, to be honest. but definitely sunday.

half of my solder joints came out shitty. i was not pleased with my worked today in that area, oh well.

no fuses in as of now, no where for the power to go.

just a quick update/ bump i prob wont have any updates until sometime saturday night, im house/pet sitting for some good friends of mine all weekend. but ill make sure to take lots of pics. and get them up asap. cause im sure everyone following this build is eager to see how it turns out.

quick update i keep running into bullshit issues... i worked on it until like 12 last night maybe later. got the amp wired and temporay false floor built/ in one battery hooked up in back and turned the car on.. nothing. amp wouldnt turn on. so i pretty muhc said fuck it im going to bed. got up took a look at everything made sure all connections were secure. tested the amp with direct feed from power. amp powers up... ooookay. check connections at back of head unit with pac integration pos all good. redid them for good measure even tried a direct test line to the amp. nothin. read the instruction again... okay everything is where it needs to be... WTF. le sigh. so then i tried just powering the amp and see if im getting signal at all from head/ PAC nothing.. greaaatttttt. so either i have a faulty integration kit or the 2 are conflicting with each other. other one being usa spec ipod intigration. so i have to pull the dash again and see if i can make it work, so fun. then if thats not it ill be pissed and dont know what ill do until i get a new one.

on a positive note i went to joanns with my sister so she could pick out what she wants her box wrapped in and so i could look and see what i could do. all the suede was 50% off. for a grey that closely matches my interior. bought all of it. now im waiting on my hookup at a different jo anns to get batting for like 70% off.

ill update with pics when i can. i need to go to work. so idk when that will be.

okay ive got some time to kill so ill update with pics kinda started taking pics of wood cutting/ assembly half way through, i tried to remember to take pics often but seeing how im just trying to get things running im not looking for clean-ness of an install yet. that will come when i have time and money to do everything the way i want them done. box is about 80-90% right now. just need to locate a flush router bit and cutout the sub holes. then in the future ill be glassing it for extra strength and 100% sealed edges/corners.

TEMPORARY false floor

thats all ive got for now. after the false floor test fit i tried hooking the amp up and well i already explained the situation a few posts ago. im thinking about giving it another go tonight there is only one thing i can think of i havent tried and im hoping it works if not. im SOL until i get a new integration kit.

well shit. i tore everything apart again checked all wiring of pac C2A-GM42 all is where it is supposed to be. i even tried different locations and reseting the system and even got test light out and i tried only running the pac even then there is a green light in the pac that turns on when the radio turns on but i dont get 12+ trigger power out of it. no matter where the ground wire goes (to actual ground of vehicle/ aftermarket amp groung/ battery ground) nothing.

does anyone have any idea what could be happening other than the pac is just faulty?

well i give up on trying to make the integration with the pos factory wiring/ system. i went at it again today with a new pac piece originally thinking the old one was doa. well that one didnt work out either i know for a fact all my wires are good that i put in, and followed the directions perfectly. so idk wtf to do. tomorrow i think im going to try and see if i can rig in a high/low converter. but we'll see how far that goes. also for some reason there are all these bare wires behind the factory deck. i pulled the electrical tape off of about 2 feet of the wire harness to see where they go and its like endless? and foil shielding around some of the wires as well? never seem that before in my life. even had my buddies dad who is a electrical engineer look at it and he was baffled. said it looked like a botched repair or install gone wrong. but we did find that some of them are grounds. idk. this last week has been ruff with work and nothing seems to be going my way right now. trying to fight through all the bullshit. buts its starting to add up...

ill update when i can/ or i find a solution.
