alexd619
Just got an o scope today for $45. works perfectly. If any one lives in the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana area and is willing to drive to Independence KY. The guy i bought it from has about 10 other scopes ranging from $25-$55. Bought a pallet of them at an estate sale (small schools program/secondary lost funding) over 3 dozen and they are going quick (10 left). He doesnt have probes to sell with but we have ebay for that and he has a frequency generator there to show that they work. Want one ill give you his Name/number. alexd619
So i got my car scoped today. Volume level (with factory amp) is 48 (I was playing at 50 whoops). On the rcas it can go to max (62 i think) with bass boost@ +5. but since the factory location speakers clipped at 49 @100hz -5db. I made 48 my limit with bass boost off. I might mess with the equalizer later on in the week, but i have the gain set on the bass amp with test tones ranging from 50-20hz @ -5db with no clipping or distortion. Haven't been able to play any songs yet as to not piss off the neighbors. but i will be taking a little drive after i eat/before i go to bed for work @430. I'll let you guys know how it goes. alexd619
Everything seems good so far. The bass is solid but my mids and highs are being drowned out. Gonna do some testing and tuning tomorrow or over the weekend to see if i can bring those back up safely. Might get a vid tomorrow if i have the time Build log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/166486-alexs-02-intrepid-budget-build/ 2 12" SKAR Audio VVXv2 d4 @ 1ohm vvme qa-d1500 Pioneer Head unit deh-8400bh 2 Kenwood KFC-1693PS 3-Way 6.5" 2 stock sail speakers/tweeters (Infinity premium stock) Polk Audio DB351 3.5" (upgraded from a factory 2.75" speaker or something weird like that dremeled to fit) 2 Sony Xplod XS-R6944 6" x 9" 4-Way's
FeelDaBass
I've always wondered...was it hard to take your head liner out to install your audio technix? I haven't been able to see how that would come out of the car as I'm somewhat considering on doing the same to my Concorde. I haven't been able to see how that would come out of the car as I'm somewhat considering on doing the same to my Concorde. It's not very had its just a pain. I had to remove the front seats to drop the headliner low enough to be able to tilt the headliner enough to take it out the rear door. You kinda have to bend it a little bit to get it out. Other than that you just need to remove the o'shit handles, visors, and interior lights. All the pillars are just the snap clips. Its just takes time and patience.
