huh i was checking out the amp kit i bought and the kit states 3ft of ground wire and 17 ft of power wire and i thought that the ground wire seemed a little long so i grabbed the tape measure. The ground measured 4ft and the power wire measured 18ft. Seems like they just gave me 2 free feet of 1/0 silver tinned ofc. SWEET

Ok, so my testing with the easy liner is complete. After 2 days in a bottle of water (agitated a total of about 35min shaken vigorously for 5min spurts) it only absorbed a tiny amount of water on the leading cut edges. I cut it in half and it was completely dry after 1/2" in. I also did some puncture tests and it is some pretty strong stuff, it took a drum stick braced against the floor and 3/4 force to puncture it. (my estimate would be at least 25lbs on a sq cm)

So my plan is to try and remove the stock vapor barriers, seal as best a possible with the audio technix, and reuse them but if they fall apart then i will use the easy liner as a vapor barrier with any cut edges treated with plastidip (because i have a spare tube laying around)

The audio technix (AT) amp kit is going in today or tomorrow depending on how things go. The AT deadener is out for delivery as is a volt/ammeter (bought it on a whim may or may not use it) so imm gonna post alot of pics all at once later tonight. Not sure how late im gonna go since ive been up since 2am (for work). but ill keep all ya updated. Best part is gonna be removing the peel and seal the previous owner "installed" yay lol

ok i didnt get as much as i wanted done. Peal and seal sux to remove. Had to stop at one point because i scraped a few layers of skin off my finger and it wouldnt stop bleeding for an hour (Damn ABS plastic trim pieces). But the roof has been deadened and the 1/0 is run.

Tomorrow run new wire for subs and possibly deaden the front doors(?) its gonna be fun.

Subs have been rewired with audiotechnix 12 gauge (a plus because the kit was supposed to come with 14g)

i got the driver door deadened and i had to use the easy liner as a vapor barrier because the stock one had crumbled to pieces (was wondering why i heard wind noise)

gonna do the passenger door tomorrow i think. i had to get the car back together because i have some running around to do tonight

Very nice dude btw how did you get the 1/0 to fit the amp mine is basically the exact same and will take a max of 4 maybe 2 ga

I fanned out all the wire and trimmed it down in the center till it fit. Its just temporary till i can get some reducers

Component wise that's it for a while. I might be getting an oscope today for cheap but I will be waiting on the probes for a lil bit till I can do some tuning and testing.

I need to do some stiffening of the box soon I can feel the box flex from the back. Might be doing that today if I have a big enough piece of mdf. And add a dowel to the inside of the box if I have enough time
