Impedence + Channels + 6 speakers = confusing

So I am looking at grabbing 4x Crescendo PWX 6.5s and 2x Crescendo FT1 Super Tweeters to replace my factory 6 speaker system.

I can do simple math:

4x 150w rms =600

2x 80w rms = 160

Total 760

So I probably need something between 600 and 800 watts @ 4 ohms. Something I never really understood though is how many channels you need to support 6 speakers and how you wire them. Can any one enlighten me? Or if this has been explained well else where point me in the right direction?

any recommended 6 channel amps. There dont appear to be too many out there. Sonic eletronics only sells 1.

maybe it would just be better to get a 600 watt 4 channel and a 160 watt 2 channel?

if thats the case then i need to figure out how to hook up 3 amps.

You could run a 4 channel. the 6.5's to two channels and the tweets to the other two. Just keep your ohm load safe for what ever amp you get.
