02Explorer
Which way is the best way too face the sub box? (In a 2002 Ford Explorer) Subs toward the roof? Subs toward the trunk? Subs facing the windshield? I would just like to know where ported and or sealed box placements are the loudest!
Joe X
Subs up/port driver's side, subs up/port back.
just1moreamp
I have found that with just two--12'' subs that subs back port back was the best. and with 4-12s subs up port back driver's side was the best in my explorer...
WoodB
I had 3 of original jl w6 12's in my 1993 exploder back in the day, I ran sealed, facing back, I was able to face any direction but back to the edge against the seat was best, I ran little power to then only 500w ppi. Today it depends on sub/ amp combo, so if bigger amp, or sub that recommends facing up only, I would go ported if able face back with proper area, good luck I thought a hair trick was a camera trick, question everything!
