The hybrids i am going to use are here http://hybrid-audio.com/legatiase/ The amp I have running on the subs hasn't been mounted to the amp rack yet. The amp is actually under the passenger seat in my XB for time being. Im using an old school PPI amp from 1998. PPI PC 2350 which is 1400RMS (more like 1500-1600rms). The RE AUDIO SR PRO 12's call for 1.5cf of air space per sub for optimal performance. The box was build for 3.0cf per sub which was 12cf with (4) 7.5" ports that are 4" in diameter. The box was tuned at 34hz. We tested the XB with the sealed box I had in the car with (2) kicker 15s before all this construction. The car was hitting the hardest at 44hz but at 44hz, i couldn't play music like I wanted, so the next best hz was at 34hz. It has bass that is LOW, sounds like a freight train from a distance. I'm very impressed with it overall.

yellowXB Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 I finally got the amp moved from under the passengers seat to its new home, the amp rack. I'm going to change that black vinyl. It's hard to make it stick even with tac90... I may just go with black felt. That is what I used on the headliner.
yellowXB Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 Since I have a wall now, i thought I would make use of a 7" monitor. I was going to put it where I took out the passenger air bag on the dash, but have since changed my mind. So....I started on modding the center dash bezel. I took out the mini storage box along with the lighter and ashtray. Here are some pics of different stages for it. Almost there. few more areas to touch up. Once the piece is finalized, I will be scuffing up the upper portion of the green area to repaint. The bottom part of the bezel, from about where the top of the monitor will be at will be painted black all the way down to the bottom. Reason being, is the bezel will be hydrodripped in black skulls. By painting the bottom black, the skulls on the green part will blend into solid black on the bottom. Heres a pic of a remote control back done this way. I will post more pics when completed of the final product.
yellowXB Posted May 9, 2013 Author Report Posted May 9, 2013 Well I made some changes on the build. 1st, I don't know if the 4 subs (RE AUDIO SR PRO) were defects or what, but the same day i installed them one of the coils went. So that left me with 3 subs. When my new one arrived and it was replaced, a week later the tensils on 3 of the subs broke loose. So the wholesaler was gracious enough to allow me to upgade and pay the wholesale difference to SE PROs which handle 2x the power of the SR PRO. 2nd, I ripped the black vinyl off the wall. I replaced it with the same black felt I used on the headliner. Made a world of difference in looks.

Thanks for the compliment... I wanted the wall to be flush with the C pillars. You can't keep the factory back seat setup as it is and achieve that goal i wanted. And even flush i barely got a 12 CF box. With the 1/2" mdf trim piece on the back of the box in the hatch, the box is almost flush with the top of the car and has about 4" from the bottom of the box to the bottom of the hatch...
