power cable involved in second battery install

Ok so a couple of things. First, still feel like I havent got a sure answer in my search for grouding amps/rear batt.Seems there are many combating opinions on this.Ill be getting an aq3500.1 with the dual power and ground inputs. Is it better to connect all power and ground on the amp directly to the pos and neg on the battery, and thats it? Or should I in addition ground the battery to the chassis? Slightly confused.

And secondly, when wiring the rear batt, if I were to do 2 pos runs, do I need 2 neg runs as well, or just 1 neg? Have seen both of these suggested on this board and others. Just trying to save as much as I can on any wires that are not truly necessary in my future build. 1/0 gets pricey :/
