8ight Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 I consider Powerbass to be the last word for value-oriented car audio, imagine if Kicker weren't bad, that's Powerbass. I have used their amps and subs a few times in my own builds and for friends with no issues and awesome results for the money spent. I don't know how their speakers are because I have yet to see anyone running them in person, they sound fine in the local shop compared to what Alpine, Harmon, and all the big names have to offer. I'm gonna hate
MeenGreenAudio Posted May 3, 2013 Author Report Posted May 3, 2013 I've heard of them but I've never heard them so I'm kinda with you on the unsure part Build Log 1996 chevy suburban 2 zv4 15 kenwood excelon mids and tweeters kenwood excelon deck mevhman 370 3 batts all different mechman avmb II 2 inch squat 33 inch muds straight pipes kixker zx series 4ch sundown amps memphis 0 gauge soon to be fu audio c pillar wall
SGT_76 Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 Well I already have focal access components so I'm not gonna put a big budget in for something I really don't need right now so i could factor that 300 somewhere else in the budget. What else, if anything, do you already have/plan to use? If you have no supporting electrical on hand already I believe your $1000 for misc could be way off, depending on your sub and amp choices of course. Once you start to figure batteries/power, ground and speaker wire/cabling/alternator(s)/fusing and distribution, etc., electrical adds up fast. Not to mention the actual misc. items that can nickle and dime you over budget lol. I like your allocations for subs and amps though. Plenty of quality equipment in that range! Best of luck.
