slowfkncar
I used to have the same car, had a single 12 t1 ,single 12 t2 then a single 15 sundown nightshade.I have tried port up woofer back, port back woofer back, port up woofer up. I can verify it was always louder with sub & port back. Took a crap load of deadener and expanding foam to get the rattle 90% gone. then I went ahead and sealed the trunk from the cabin ,and forward fired the box. That one made a crazy ass difference. blcrocker
Why did you sell your accord? Also I got started on my box earlier tonight but when I cut my whole for the sub, i ended up cutting it just a bit too big. Tomorrow I'll be ripping apart the double baffle and cut a new one, I believe I'll beable to save one of the layers and just remake the top layer. Or should I just redo both layers? thefourth
Get that sub in it's new home! Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd. blcrocker
So yesterday when I started the build, I ended making my cut out just a bit to large. My solution was to pry apart the baffle and save one layer and make a new layer out of scrap. Love perfect circles. HDC3 and an old school Oscilloscope for weight while glue dries. Made a few 45s to help flow. Finished box (until my carpet and flush bit arive) Just ripped out my p3 and tossed this in with 8 gauge wire I had laying around for a long time. I know it looks ugly with wires every where and the old plywood as a amp rack. My plan is to move the box all the way forward and seal off the trunk with a new rack in the back hidden.
