Need to put a battery in the trunk

I need to put a battery or 2 in my trunk to run my 2 MTX 7801's. The question is How do i wire a battery if its going to be in the trunk?

Grab some 1/0ga cable and put + to + and - to ground

Then run the + to the back of the alt and eureka

so you dont have to wire the amps to the batterys in back? b/c i see alot of people doing that. why is that done?

Well yea you do wire the batt. to the amp, but you gotta keep the battery charged.

ok i see. if i do this do i have to have two of the same battery? or does it not matter?

I never thought of that, but I don't think it matters

ok thanks man.  I always wondered that. I guess you just run the amps to the positive terminal just like the starting battery. thanks man.

Not exactly the amps to the battery, you need the battery hooked to the alternator to have the battery charged

if you dont do anything with the stock wiring then dont worry about the alt....unless u plan on doing the big 3 upgrade...oh and make sure u fuse within 18" of the front battery

Go for the Big 3, it would help the alternator a lot
