fosgatefan1996 Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 I recently brought my truck threw truck night (mudding) and my alternator wont charge anymore... I brought it to auto zone and they tested it said it was charging. i put it back in my truck and no charge. So i put my stock alternator back on and it charges... Any idea why my H/O alt wont charge but tested good and my stock alt charges?

fosgatefan1996 Posted May 23, 2013 Author Report Posted May 23, 2013 The plug is in good clicked in the slot, got 2 grounds on it and positive is hooked up. I brought it to get checked at auto zone and again it passed but, it still wont charge my truck at all. One thing I noticed is that the post where the positive bolts onto is loose, it doesn't wiggle but, as I tighten the nut to secure the positive wire the post will turn with the bolt once it gets a little snug.
