mrwigglezdj Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 well my lil bro just got his show truck painted , and now hes ready to bring the truck to me to have a system put in, its a 2000 chevy s10 xcab xr2 with every thing factory and he wants to upgrade . he says that he wants a head unit that he can use his ipod with and have the HD radio on it as well so he knows the names of the song thats playing on the fm chanels, and would prefer a usb kind of ipod connector so the radio keeps the ipod charged at the same time its playing?,...... i know there will be the need for a dash kit because of his double din and he dont want double any more, and a wire harnes , not too sure on the bipass or anything at the moment , he dont have factory alarm. what radio would work best for what he wants in there? i have him coverd on mids/highs and that amp and subs and sub amp. im going to build him a custom ported box for the rear but nothing major, he wants more mid that bass, but wants to be able to rattle a few things when hes showing off so thats easy to do, just the radio theres too many options out there and while im asking about the system, does anyone know where he can pick up a extra drivers side fender flare for the zr2 package, he said there is something minor wrong with the one on there and wants to find a new one but there are none around him and hes not going to give 2-300 for a new one at a dealer ship Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
Stephen Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 you dont need the special adapter just a basic harness http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...883&tp=5684 that one comes with an ipod cable, harness, dash kit, antenna adapter, and free shipping you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.
