Rebuild time! DC Dodge D150 4th order blow through! DC Level 4 XL 15s M2. 148.2 on 600 watts!

Hey guys, I figured it was about time for me to make a new thread. I originally had a 4th order built, but the port area was too small, and it ended up peaking at 29 hz. It plays awesome music, but it just doesn't compete well in my class for Midwest SPL. No matter how impressive 142.7 @ 29 hz on stock electrical and 600.6 watts clamped is, it wont win competitions. Here are a couple of pics of said box:




I loved it to death, but it was simply not strong enough, even to withstand a wimpy 600 watts. So back to the drawing board. I finally decided on 5 cubes sealed, 12.5 ported after displacement. The port is 24 wide, 9 high, and 6.75 long tuned to 49 hz. I have plenty of room to shrink it a tad bit if need be. Double layered everything except for the top and the bottom, but they are braced together by 2 2x4s. sealed section has a 2x4 for bracing. Needless to say, this box does not budge. I just hope its strong enough to withstand a Crescendo 3500 at .5 in the future, haha. Anyways, here are some pics. I started at 8:30 in the morning and finished at 8 at night. I have to pull the port out and put the back wall in, but other than that, its finished.

It's pretty loud for just 600 watts, I'll tell you that much.

Then do one! Haha. I love mine, I love knowing that I have an 18 cube box in my bed, but I could easily double the size of it.
