I have no clue on how to wire the second battery I've checked everywhere, and found so many different answers so I just finally broke down and came here to gain the knowledge. thanks everyone

98GCLimited Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 you want to fuse the positive run though, before it gets to the second battery.. Yes forgot to say that but fuse close to front battery and close to rear battery as well. Within a foot of each battery.

I have runs for both pos and neg from front battery to back. Are you saying you gained by ditching the full ground run (front to back)? Or are you saying leave the full ground run and ADD a body/chassis ground from the rear battery as well? Second option, leave the full ground from front to back and add the ground on the rear battery, i gained like 0.5 dbs and almost 1 volt IIRC on the voltage drop by adding the run from the front to the back, that`s on the SPL gains topic on the SPL room. skaterkid225 Posted May 20, 2013 Author Report Posted May 20, 2013 thank you guys so much I just have to upgrade my alternator, get some distribution blocks, 2 nice spools of 0 gauge so I can have plenty of wire left over for other bs, hook up my kinetic battery put the second box and amp in there and I should be good to go. ill be sure to post some updates and photos as far as the install if you all are interested.
