Lifted2000Ford4x4 Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 I've built a few boxes before but nothing this big! Specs: 6.2 cubes after port displacement 6 cubes after internal bracing Tuned to 33.5hz 2 Hifonics BRZ15D4's 600RMS a piece 1200 peak Its only seen 500 watts in a buddy's car and took up the WHOLE back seat so not much testing done with it, so not to sure on the lows yet, only had 5 mins of play time on it at 500 watts, ordering a Belva BB3000D soon to power these in a 2000 Ford F150 extended cab. HOPE it fits, dimensions were built around the truck but shes a BIG bastard for sure. Going to finish painting it with primer then coat it in bed liner, waiting on my Sky High 12 gauge speaker wire to get here to re wire the box, right now theres some 16 gauge in there. Couldn't 45 the port because my table saw decided to take a shit half way though the project so i had to cave man it and use the ol circular saw and straight edge. Going to round over the whole box when i get a new round over bit for the router, the port 90' is rounded over. Subs wired to 1 ohm using a screw type terminal. first time using it and i like it. Also used Tnuts to hold subs in, for easy removal. THIS IS JUST A TEMP BOX AND SYSTEM [/url] [/url'>
revoracing247 Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 looks sweet! she'll clean up a lot when you round everything over and do the bed liner ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~

1koerner Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 looks good but isn't that a lot of airspace for that sub just curious if you dont own or drive a customized car/truck/suv you suck lol
CleanSierra Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 looks good but isn't that a lot of airspace for that sub just curiousThey are 15s, they have 3 cubes each. Sounds pretty right on to me Box looks good OP, keep up the great work Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Lifted2000Ford4x4 Posted May 20, 2013 Author Report Posted May 20, 2013 looks good but isn't that a lot of airspace for that sub just curious no, this box is 6 cubes, the subs are "recommended" to be in a 6-8 cube box. the 6 cubes just delivers tighter bass. but it sounds AMAZING
