Well if you decide to get that sub DO NOT go cheap on power, cheap power that says its 1200 watts has already been proven they cannot make more than nearly 200 real watts, not these fictitious wattage numbers they just so happen to write on the box. Bump4life Posted May 23, 2013 Report Share Posted May 23, 2013 In my opinion this deal is not worth it. from my knowledge, that is a 9500 c motor. possibly D. not 100% sure. either way it is not an e or even an f motor. this means this subs is early 2000s. possibly late 90s. if it hasnt been reconed in a while which by the look of the soft parts and DD logo it hasnt been reconed in at least 5-6 years. that means buy it expecting to have to recone. if you buy it, expecting to recone that boosts your cost to like 230 shipped for new basket and recone which yuo need a new basket for the new soft parts. DD may be able to make soft parts for that basket but if you are playing music the new soft parts are way better with a larger spider. so your 300 is now 530+ for a baisc recone. you want options, add 50-400 dollars. so now you have 500+ in a very old motor design. it is a 9500 but if i were spending that much id go with a newer stronger, more efficient motor.
