need help with my mids and highs amp

when my amp turns on it will play for a little bit then shut off and the speakers wont play music? but the amp is still on

the voltage is at 14.4-14.8v and it's not the best amp but i had it laying around its a daul 500w amp

for the sub i have a cheap 12" kicker comp with a 1600w ma audio synergy amp

cheap budget build will have better equipment soon!!
