1999 Chevrolet Blazer - Stereo Integrity, Ground Zero, Soundstream

Recommended Posts

ive heard having a common chamber helps if you are on the low side for the subs. build is looking great. hell im more interested in the center console. haha sad part is i put sub updates in my thread, not a single reply

Lol yeah dude don't sweat it, people don't always dive into build logs. It sure looks good though!

But yeah, I've heard that too. This box is on the bigger side actually. But, I'm cutting it now, so it's already done! Lol.

Replaced the belt with a smaller one. Went from 967 to 960. Before:

After:

Worked on the box some more:

Cut one of the flush baffles. This is it just placed on top:

Will be cutting the top flush baffle tomorrow. Still haven't decided what order I want to stain, carpet the box, and glue the baffles on in. I think I might glue the baffles on, carpet the box, and then stain the baffles last. I think that might work the best.

Got the two baffles cut and routed with a 1/8" roundover:

I'm kinda stuck and need help. Don't know what order to stain the two baffles, glue them on, and carpet the rest of the box in. I am thinking glue them on, hit all edges with a flush trim bit, stain them, tape them off well, and then carpet the rest of the box. Anyone have any ideas?

I'll be using these binding posts. I really like these, used them on my last two boxes too.

Final mockup before stain and carpet. And of course, I had to snap a few extra pics :)

I'm really happy with this. Hope I don't screw it up in the finishing stage :/

So is this all behind the back seat and under the window line? If it is whats the box dems and volume i have a 97 blazer and i wamt to keep it in just the cargo area and under window line would be great but i want 2 15s with massive port or maybe a 4th if i wall

Window line is about 17", this is above that. It is behind the back seat though. If you wall you will have no problem fitting it, but a pair of 15's with massive port is pretty much not gonna happen. Well, not with a sub up, port back config. You could probably do it if you do sub up, port up, but you will have to build over the wheel wells for sure.

If i do any build except wall the. I wana build it to where the port is right over the rear seats just blasting air forward. I know port back would be more spl but ill never meter. I was thinkin if i keep it between the fenderwells then it gives me some space to build a amp rack and stuffs
