KyleRhone Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 So i'm looking into two different subs. They're both alpine type R's, but one is a shallow mount and one is a regular sized sub. I plan on running them bridged at 2 ohms on a Hifonics Brutus BRX2400.1D, 2400W NextGen Super-D Monoblock Amplifier. My question is. what will give me better sound? The shallow mounts, or the full sized subs? I figured it would be the full sized subs due to being able to achieve more excursion, however I wanted to make sure because this is going into a 93 civic hatchback and I was trying to compromise as little trunk space as possible. Is the sound going to be that much of a noticeable difference between the two?
