04mounty Posted June 18, 2013 Report Share Posted June 18, 2013 im putting a single oa 18 in my truck but my question is should i do a regular ported box or do a aero port wats the big difference i have no clue about aero ports ..lol i have the whole back of my mounty to fill i was guessing about a 6 cube box would be ideal but wats every ones suggestions ? Joe X Posted June 18, 2013 Report Share Posted June 18, 2013 Aero ports need less port area and their wall thickness is almost zero therefore some space is saved and your box can be a little smaller and lighter, when figting for a few inches to fit they become useful, also if you intend to have multiple tunings they become useful, otherwise those are mainly a waste of money on most applications. 04mounty Posted June 19, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 19, 2013 ok so i wanna make due with my old box i covered the old port for now the box is just over 7 cubs i figured 2 6 inch pvc ports about 20 inchs long and 4 inches sticking out on each would work ?
