army_guy137
On the off chance when you pulled all your panels off, do you know what the speaker size is for the ones on the D pillar all the way in the back? I am replacing all my stock speakers and nobody lists the size of that one?

I am replacing all my stock speakers and nobody lists the size of that one? I believe it's a 3 1/2" in those pillars but I've read a couple websites so far and one person said it's a 1.5" but he fit a 3.5" with minor modifications behind the panels The other site I looked at said 3.5 or 4" but he bought adapters to fit 6.5's there. http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12183 BUILD LOG-http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179004-03-s10-xtreme-ext-cab-rf-build/ PHOTOBUCKET- http://s1354.beta.photobucket.com/user/03XtremeFosgate/library/truck%20audio%20rebuild

Karkov
Well here's a picture i found on the internet but mine is the same so I am saying it IS a 1.5" speaker (if you were to move the tape measure appropriately and figure in mounting piece. You could replace it with tweets or larger though. As posted above people have fit 3.5" with some cutting. Don't need to replace with a 1.5" 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. Karkov
Hey guys should I ground my rear battery(s) to frame OR body? I have a frame to body ground under the vehicle and 2 batteries under hood grounded to both. Also, if my port is facing the rear hatch, could i attach a piece of MDF board somehow to the vehicle (not the hatch) to help eliminate hatch rattles or do you think it would act too much like an extended port? Basically from the bottom of the rear window and down, flat piece of wood Anchored solid to the vehicle, not the hatch, to eliminate the hatch from rattling like a mofo. Thoughts? I don't want to change the frequencies of the box though 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. 03 Xtreme Fosgate
Are you planning on using speakers there yourself Karkov? If so then you could either put a pro audio tweeter there or either a set of 3.5's or 4" speakers and I'm sure you can get them loud. I think I wouldn't worry about it until everything was in to see what it sounds like but if you wanted some rear fill then you could go with one of these... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_43391_Rockford-Fosgate-PP8-T.html BUILD LOG-http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179004-03-s10-xtreme-ext-cab-rf-build/ PHOTOBUCKET- http://s1354.beta.photobucket.com/user/03XtremeFosgate/library/truck%20audio%20rebuild
