AndrewW Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 Hi All, This is my first post and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. I listen to all Genres of music and i currently have Polk Audio 6.5" splits up front and a 13" JL Audio powered by a Cadence 1000w 5 channel amp. Given that in mind I will be making custom door panels to fit the new speakers. My question is; Do i run 2 6.5" splits up the front or a pair of 6.5 splits and a pair of 8" mids? Along with 2 x 10" subs at rear? I will be running a pair of 6.6 splits in rear doors. If anyone could help me out that would be great. Thanks
john253a Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 I've done a few 80series And there is a tonn of room in the rear for some bigger stuff then 2x 10 If you doing custom doors for front 2 or 3x 6.5 and 1x 8 in front 1x same 6.5 in rear door And the biggest things you can fit in rear in the space you want to give up

I would like to still maintain all the rear space as i want it for my massive fridge and draws for off road. I'm thinking about putting the 2 x 10 or 2 x 12's in very back along the sides? What speakers, subs and amps would you recommend given my setup already?
john253a Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 If you plane on the Do you have the barn doors of drop gate with lift top In my old mans I put I did 2x M210 ib in the rear door(drop gate) and left the factory 6" sub out The just replace the stock 4" front with t1 4" coaxial And t16.5 coaxial And ran it off a zxm700.5
john253a Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 As for what speakers That comes down to budget Idd recommend no put a budget of each item but as a total And if you want to keep some of what you What do you like and want to keep And the 2 IB 10 I ran dont give you a tonn of bass if that's what your after, just a nice clean sound In my 47series I had I built the rear boxes and fitted 2 kenwood s303(I think) 12" sealed (old school with the blue cone and swirl) And they only took about 2cuft for the pair facing fwd so fridge and storage was on top
