Bsing Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 Hey guys just bought a 2004 camry and thinking of putting these in the front and back. Know anything about them? Oh yea would power them with a Sax 125.4.
john253a Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 there a very nice sounding speaker, but if your powering them with that amp dont wast your money unless you planing on upgrading it, the speaker can only play as good as you can feed it, are you planing on just replacing the factory speakers if so and your after that sort of quality, idd get the csx465.2 3way (rainbow) and fit the the 6.5 and 4" in the place of the 6x9 or the 6.5 where the 6x9 and the 4" in the dash where the 3.5" was factory fitted and the tweeter on the pillar for $450 or the cheaper slc365 3ways for $360 and fit the same model in the rear in either 2 or 3 way as the rear has 6x9 as well and run them off something like the kw-4150
Bsing Posted July 3, 2013 Author Report Posted July 3, 2013 In your opion how would you describe the sound of the csx465.2? What your saying is my amp will not bring out the best of the speakers, what would you recommend?
john253a Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 thats correct you looking at a very clean sq speaker not an entry level speaker that speaker will sound good on that amp just not as good as it could, its like to mat or not a mat a door, will the speaker sound good in a non matted door yes, is it at is optimum no the tempo 6 is a very nice a clean sounding speaker, and is on par with slc range from rainbow, but the price jump is a big jump from there entry level to something sooo much better the other resion i recommend the csx465.2 is it make the most out of what ever amp you run as its a 2ohm speaker and not a 4 ohm take the kw-4150 amp the one i recommended it make 75rms @4 and 130rms @2ohm and youll also get more cone area, and dedicated frequencys to each speaker, if you wanted idd get the csx and run them off the sax for now and when you get some more moneyz get an anp more suited to a sq build or if your happy with sound leave it as it is, the only thing idd recommend as a must is mat the door or at least behind the speaker
Bsing Posted July 4, 2013 Author Report Posted July 4, 2013 I plan on matting the 4 doors and the trunk have not yet decided on the roof and the floor. Bc I will have two15" fi Q's sealed in the trunk for when I want to be some what loud. I enjoy both SQ and a lil spl.
