Jdollarthegreat
I just purchased a new 320a model alternator and i kept the stock pully. What kind of difference will this make?
bbeljefe
I think you meant smaller diameter pulley.... If you're using the larger diameter manufacturer's pulley, the new alternator won't spin as fast and thus, won't generate its rated current. That said, it will still out perform the factory alternator. What's the motivation for using the old pulley? Is the current belt too long and you don't want to buy a shorter one? Just curious... A high output alternator will slip some on a already worn belt Quote 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
