Jamie Bakaj Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Hey everyone, long time fan (of Steve and his Tahoe) and the car audio scene, now first time poster!Just wondering if anybody could give some advice on sound deadening products such as Second Skin, Stinger RoadKill etc, through to spray/paint-on products like Motorspray Sound Deadener.I'm planning on matting my front doors with either Dynamat or Road Kill today, but was wondering if adding some spray-on or paint-on deadener was worth doing for places I might not be able to get to (should that be the case) or even applying it over the matting for "added effectiveness"K thanx GO!! 1999 Mitsubishi Verada/Diamante Wagon A.K.A The Bassubishi. -Fusion CA-CD800 HU -Soundstream MPQ-7XO Eq. michigancapri92 Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 if you get a quality deadner such as second skin audio techixs you will not need to cover 100% or cover with a spray on deadner to achieve good results !! spray on deadner while it works i have not been a fan of due to it works more as a mass loader because it does not have a constraining layer. michigancapri92 Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 both are good product ... just make sure you get a product with a good foil backing ( not just like aluminum foil but can actually bend and hold its shape because of the foil backing) and dutyl rubber based and you should be good to go!
